Modern e-commerce platform for managing a catalog, orders from payment to delivery, and administration.

LOOKME is a contemporary women's fashion web boutique. It allows users to browse a catalog, manage a cart, place orders with payment upon delivery, track their orders, and administer products, categories, images, and sales status.

Problem addressed

Fashion retailers need a centralized platform to sell their products with a simple purchasing journey, without online payment, while protecting prices, inventory, sessions, and orders from client-side manipulation.

Objectives

Present and filter products by category and search.
Allow guest and connected orders with payment on delivery.
Calculate prices, totals, and delivery fees on the server side.
Prevent fraudulent modification of prices and stock.
Provide a personal space to consult and track orders.
Provide administration to manage the catalog and orders.
Keep a history of order status changes.
Secure user and administrator sessions.

Technical solution

LOOKME combines a React/Vite SPA with an Express API and a PostgreSQL database managed with Prisma. The backend validates inputs with Zod, recalculates orders server-side, and updates stocks within PostgreSQL transactions. Users can place orders with or without an account. Guest orders are protected by a random token, with only the fingerprint stored in the database. Administration allows for managing products, categories, variants, images, and orders, archiving data, and tracking key actions in audit logs.

The Prisma PostgreSQL schema is valid.
The frontend lint runs without error.
The two frontend tests pass.
The seven backend tests pass.
The payment on delivery integration scenario is skipped when no dedicated test database is available.
The Vite production build succeeds.
The GitHub Actions workflow runs on pushes to main and on pull requests.
The CI uses PostgreSQL 16 and applies Prisma migrations.
The CI runs backend tests, frontend lint, and frontend build.
The CI also runs npm audit and Gitleaks.
The project provides a Docker and Nginx configuration.
The project contains a Vercel configuration for the API.
The legal pages are present as templates to be completed before publication.
